Biography

Dr. Sattar received his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of New Brunswick and completed his Master’s degree and PhD in Nursing Science at the University of Toronto. He has a strong background in geriatrics and geriatric oncology. His latest projects include a randomized controlled trial investigating the efficacy of a remotely delivered resistance and balance training program aimed at improving lower body strength, balance, and reducing fall risks in community-dwelling older adults with cancer. Dr. Sattar has served as the vice-chair of the Nursing Allied Health professionals group within the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) from 2020 to 2022 and currently represents Canada as a National Representative at SIOG.
