Scott Barley is an artist-filmmaker and Teaching Fellow in Film Directing at Edinburgh College of Art. Recently, Scott collaborated with musician Hara Alonso on the short film Ladder, commissioned by Canal180 and set to premiere in 2025. As an educator, he teaches and supervises students within the BA Film program, emphasizing the interrelationship between theory and practice, and advocates for environmentally sustainable methodologies in filmmaking. Scott also contributes to mentorship programs and has taught internationally at various institutions.
