Biography

Scott Jarvis received his BSc in Biochemistry and PhD in Neurosciences from the University of Calgary before completing a research fellowship in Montpellier, France. He returned to Calgary for medical school, where he completed his Neurology residency and a clinical fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis. He worked in San Francisco, focusing on child-care applications of new technologies for treating neurological diseases. In 2015, he returned to Calgary to work at the South Health Campus specializing in Multiple Sclerosis and at the Alberta Neurologic Centre for general neurology. He is actively involved in research and education, focusing on symptom management and the use of novel devices to quantify and treat neurological deficits. Additionally, he co-chairs and lectures Course 5 (Neurosciences Aging) at the University of Calgary medical school, aiming to inspire future neurologists.
