Scott Keogh completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Illinois in 1991 and earned a Master of Science from Illinois State University in 1993. He pursued his PhD at the University of Sydney from 1993 to 1997. After completing his PhD, he began a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Sydney in 1997, followed by a Lectureship at the Australian National University (ANU) starting in 1998. Keogh served as the Convenor for the Graduate Program in Evolution, Ecology, and Genetics from 2000 to 2011, and was the Associate Director (HDR) of the Research School of Biology from 2009 to 2011. He was head of the Division of Ecology and Evolution from 2012 to 2019 and again in 2023, and served as the Interim Director of the Research School of Biology from 2020 to 2021. His primary research interests include the study and evaluation of evolutionary processes, focusing predominantly on reptile and frog systems, as well as broader topics in molecular phylogenetics, comparative evolutionary biology, behavioural molecular ecology, and conservation biology.
