Biography

Scott McKay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University, serving as Chair since 2022. He has been a faculty member since 2004, with a focus on Quality Improvement in healthcare. McKay completed his Doctor of Medicine in 2002 and his residency in Family Medicine in 2004 at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry. He provides extensive frontline family healthcare and has held leadership roles including Primary Care Co-Lead and Physician Quality Lead within various health networks. McKay is actively involved in medical education, developing courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students and delivering national curricula for the College of Family Physicians of Canada. His contributions to medical education have been recognized with the Certificate of Merit from the Canadian Association of Medical Education and the Award of Excellence from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. McKay has also served on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer Society of London & Middlesex from 2016 to 2021, receiving the Jan Greene Award for Outstanding Volunteerism in 2020.
