Biography

Scott Walsworth is a Full Professor in the area of Industrial Relations at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. He joined the university in 2007 after completing his Ph.D. in Industrial Relations at the University of Toronto. He also holds a Master's degree in Industrial Relations and a Master of Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. Walsworth serves as the Academic Director for the Labour-Management Relations Certificate Program and is currently the president of the Canadian Industrial Relations Association. He has directed the Saskatoon Chapter of CIRA and held a four-year term as Chair of the Educational Relations Board, overseeing labour relations for approximately 17,000 teachers in Saskatchewan. Walsworth's expertise as a labour arbitrator has led him to adjudicate cases across both public and private sectors. He is the principal investigator for a SSHRC-funded research project examining the role of unions on management decisions, innovation, and employment growth, with findings published in leading journals in the field. His teaching areas include human resources, industrial relations, and labour employment law.
