Biography

Scott Wilkie is a distinguished professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, where he serves as co-director of the Osgoode Hall Law School Professional LL.M. in tax law. He also holds the position of executive fellow at the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary. His teaching portfolio includes a course in trade tax policy entitled WTO Tax Policy, part of the LL.M. program in international tax law conducted at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria. Scott's expertise in income tax law policy has garnered him wide recognition, including several awards for his public contributions. He has served as vice-chair of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association and has held leadership roles in various tax-related organizations, including chairing the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Tax Section of the Canadian Bar Association. Notably, he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for significant contributions to the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Lifetime Contribution Award from the Canadian Tax Foundation for his exceptional contributions to the tax community.
