Biography

Se-Hyeong Jung studied chemistry at the University of Würzburg, Germany, where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2013. After completing his mandatory military service in South Korea, he returned to Germany in 2015 to begin his master’s studies at RWTH Aachen University, graduating in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Chemistry. Between 2018 and 2022, he pursued doctoral studies in the research group of Prof. Andrij Pich at the DWI – Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials at RWTH Aachen University. As of December 2022, he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Lucio Isa at the Department of Materials, ETH Zürich. His research focuses on active adaptive soft materials, hybrid microgel-based microswimmers, and the development of nanoparticle-based functional inks for 3D printing applications.
