Biography

Sean Christensen, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Yale University, specializing in Mohs surgery and cutaneous oncology. He completed his fellowship training in Mohs surgery in 2013 and has since focused on the management of skin cancer, including Mohs surgery and treatment of early-stage melanoma. His clinical practice emphasizes addressing complex skin cancer issues, preventive strategies for high-risk patients, and managing advanced aggressive non-melanoma skin cancers. Dr. Christensen is the Program Director for the ACGME Mohs Surgery Cutaneous Oncology fellowship and actively participates in resident education in dermatologic surgery. He has published over 50 manuscripts and book chapters, focusing on cellular and genetic changes leading to skin cancer development, and is a principal investigator in ongoing clinical trials on novel topical therapies for basal cell carcinoma. He frequently lectures at national meetings for the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery.
