Dr. Sean Connors

Biography

Sean Connors is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland, specializing in Cardiology. He completed his D.Phil. at the University of Oxford and holds an M.D. from Memorial University. Connors underwent Internal Medicine training at Memorial and completed his Cardiology training at the University of Toronto. His clinical career began after completing a fellowship in electrophysiology at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Ottawa. He returned to Newfoundland in 1999, driven by a commitment to improve the management of heart disease in his home province and engage in genetic research related to cardiomyopathies. His work emphasizes the relationship between patients and physicians, which he considers vital within the unique population of Newfoundland and Labrador. Connors has received several awards for his research and contributions to the field of cardiology, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to enhancing patient care through research and clinical practice.
