Biography

Dr. Sean Peter Edwards is a James Hayward Endowed Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan's School of Dentistry. He graduated from Dalhousie University School of Dentistry and the University of Michigan Medical School. Following his graduation, Dr. Edwards completed a residency in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the University of Michigan. He furthered his expertise by completing fellowship training in Craniofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. His clinical and research interests center around craniomaxillofacial deformities, particularly pediatric obstructive sleep apnea, cleft lip and palate, craniofacial trauma, and pediatric neoplasms affecting craniomaxillofacial structures, with a specialized focus on craniofacial biology and wound healing.
