Biography

Dr. Sean Goldhar graduated from medical school at the University of Ottawa in 2019, where he earned the University Silver Medal for having the second-highest overall standing in his four-year program (anglophone stream). He moved to Kingston to complete his family medicine residency in 2021, followed by a year of enhanced skills training in Care of the Elderly at Queen’s University. Dr. Goldhar currently serves as an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine. He primarily works at Providence Care Hospital, focusing on outpatient geriatric medicine clinics and providing coverage for inpatient geriatric rehabilitation services. Dr. Goldhar is passionate about elderly care and preventive health, with interests in developing programs and services for the senior community. He is also dedicated to teaching, particularly in small-group learning, and is actively involved in the Queen’s UGME program as a tutor and lecturer. His scholarly interests mainly revolve around medical education and curriculum reform, specifically as they relate to family medicine and geriatrics.
