Biography

Sean Grady, M.D., is an Emeritus Professor of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He has an extensive background in neurological surgery, having received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 1977, and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1981. Dr. Grady trained in Neurological Surgery at the University of Virginia from 1981 to 1987. He has held significant academic positions, including serving as the Charles Harrison Frazier Professor & Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania starting in March 1999. His clinical focus includes cranial base tumors, pituitary tumors, meningiomas, and cerebrovascular disorders. Dr. Grady is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, he has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Neurosurgery and has received recognition as a Top Doctor by Philadelphia Magazine from 2004 to 2011.
