Sean Gurd is a scholar in the field of Classics, currently serving as the Floyd Cailloux Centennial Professor and Department Chair at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, he has edited volumes such as 'Philology Histories' and co-edited 'Pataphilology' (Irreader). Gurd is also in the process of writing a book about the poet and performance artist Arman Schwerner.
