Biography

Sean Higgins is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. His research focuses on how technology reduces frictions in payment markets and consumer financial markets, particularly the effects of reducing frictions for households and small firms in emerging economies. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Tulane University in 2016 and has previous experience as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
