Sean Newhart is the Interim Clinical Director of the Counseling Field Experience Office at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Education. He earned his doctoral degree in Counselor Education from the College of William & Mary, a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University. Sean teaches graduate students in the Counseling master’s degree program with a focus on clinical mental health counseling. His clinical interests include working with college students, young adults, couples, and families, while his research interests revolve around college student mental health, college counseling, and counselor development.
