Biography

Sean E. Nork, M.D. is a Professor and Trauma Section Chief at the University of Washington. He graduated with a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed medical school at the University of California, San Diego. He then pursued a General Surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco before specializing in Orthopedic Surgery with an additional fellowship in Orthopedic Traumatology at the University of Washington's Harborview Medical Center. Since joining the University of Washington in 1998, Dr. Nork has advanced to Associate Professor in 2004 and currently serves as the Director of Resident Education at Harborview Medical Center. His clinical interests focus on orthopaedic traumatology, including non-union fractures, periarticular fractures, and pilon fractures. Dr. Nork has published over twenty peer-reviewed articles and has presented at numerous medical meetings, highlighting his commitment to advancing the field of orthopedic surgery and education.
