Biography

Sean Peden, MD is a board-certified Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Yale School of Medicine, specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He is recognized for his expertise in both surgical and nonsurgical treatments for various foot-related conditions. Raised in lower Fairfield County, Dr. Peden's passion for orthopaedics blossomed during his education at Brown University, where he graduated in 2004. He later attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he developed a deep interest in orthopaedic education and had the opportunity to research under esteemed sports medicine physicians. Following a rigorous five-year residency at George Washington University, Dr. Peden completed a fellowship at the Michigan International Foot and Ankle Center. He has extensive experience performing complex surgical procedures, including trauma and reconstruction. Prior to joining Yale University in 2019, he spent five years in private practice in Greenwich, CT, where he honed his skills in general and foot and ankle orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Peden is dedicated to educating patients about their conditions and ensuring their understanding of the treatment process to enhance their quality of life.
