Biography

Sebastian De Haro Ollé is an Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Science, specializing in Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Physics, and Theoretical Physics. His research interests include the philosophical implications of quantum field theory, spacetime theories, and dualities in physics. He has collaborated with prominent academics to develop concepts related to dualities and their foundational contexts in physical theories. He co-authored a monograph titled 'Philosophy Physics Duality' with Jeremy Butterfield, published by Oxford University Press. De Haro has a robust academic trajectory, having completed his PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, where he was a Tarner student, and at Utrecht University, where he studied Theoretical Physics under Nobel Laureate Gerard 't Hooft.
