Professor Dr. Sebastian Schneider

Biography

Sebastian Schneider is an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente, specializing in Human Media Interaction within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. His research primarily focuses on the development of interactive intelligent systems with applications in coaching and long-term human-robot interaction. Schneider has a background in intelligent systems and human-machine interaction, having previously worked as a PhD student and postdoctoral researcher in several laboratories, including the Cognition and Robotics Lab and the HRI Lab at Kyoto University. He has explored mobile persuasive robotics, the impact of artificial intelligence on epidemiology, and the empathic interactions of service robots in public spaces. His expertise encompasses computer science, motivation in robotics, and the psychology of human-robot interaction.
