Sebastian Truskolaski joined the University of Manchester in 2021. He was awarded a PhD in 2016 from Goldsmiths, University of London, affiliated with the Centre for Philosophy and Critical Thought. Previously, Sebastian taught German Comparative Literature at Trinity College Dublin and King's College London, and received a fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for research at the Leibniz-Zentrum für Literatur- und Kulturforschung in Berlin. His monograph, "Adorno: Ban Images," was published by Bloomsbury in 2021. He also translated the correspondence of Theodor W. Adorno with Gershom Scholem, which was nominated for the Helen Kurt Wolff Translation Prize. Additionally, he has edited and contributed to several works including a collection of Walter Benjamin's experimental prose, which received positive reviews in major publications. Sebastian is an editorial board member of the journal New Benjamin Studies and is currently working on a monograph about Friedrich Hölderlin's concept of community.
