Biography

Selina Wray is an Alzheimer's Research UK Senior Research Fellow at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology within the Department of Neurodegenerative Disease. She received her degree in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2004 and subsequently completed her PhD training in Dr. Diane Hanger’s laboratory at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, which she was awarded in 2008. Following her PhD, she joined Professor John Hardy's lab at the UCL Institute of Neurology as an Alzheimer’s Research UK Junior Research Fellow. Over the years, she has held multiple academic positions, including Senior Research Associate from April 2017 to March 2021 and ongoing roles at the Institute focusing on Neurodegenerative Diseases. Selina has been recognized with several awards, including the 2018 ARUK David Hague Early Career Investigator Award and the 2014 Red Magazine Woman of the Year award in the Pioneer category.
