Biography

Selina Zhang is a PhD candidate at Macquarie University, affiliated with the Macquarie Medical School's Motor Neuron Disease Research Centre and the Lee Neuroproteomics Group. Her research focuses on understanding early cellular events that precede the formation of TDP-43 puncta aggregates, as well as exploring strategies to eliminate these aggregates using PROTACs for protein degradation. Selina actively engages in student supervision, guiding MRes students through their rotations. She holds a Master of Research in Biomedical Sciences, awarded in April 2024, and a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, which she completed in April 2022.
