Biography

Semiha Ergan is an Associate Department Chair at the Department of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Aided Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Her previous roles include Visiting Assistant Professor, Assistant Research Professor, and an Assistant Professor with courtesy appointments in Computer Science and Engineering. She has held various academic appointments and has been involved in work with the Center for Urban Science and Progress. A recipient of the DARPA Young Faculty Award, she is dedicated to applying technology to solving urban challenges and understanding operational issues associated with construction operations.
