Biography

Serdar Tumgoren teaches data journalism in the Stanford Graduate Journalism Program and serves as the associate director of the Big Local News project. Additionally, he co-founded the OpenElections project, a volunteer-driven effort aimed at compiling and standardizing U.S. election data, and created the datakit, a customizable tool designed to assist journalists in simplifying and standardizing their data analysis workflows.
