Biography

Serena Yeung-Levy is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Data Science with a courtesy appointment in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. Her research focuses on developing artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms that enable new capabilities in biomedicine and healthcare. With extensive expertise in deep learning and computer vision, she has developed innovative algorithms for analyzing diverse types of visual data, including video capture of human behavior and medical images such as cell microscopy images. Dr. Yeung-Levy leads the Medical AI Computer Vision Lab at Stanford and is affiliated with the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, the Clinical Excellence Research Center, and the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging.
