Biography

Sergei Kuzenko is a Professor at the University of Western Australia, leading the Quantum Field Theory and Quantum Gravity group. He moved to Australia in 2000, contributing significantly to research in quantum supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories and supergravity-matter systems across various dimensions. His research also focuses on extended supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models and spontaneously broken supersymmetry. Kuzenko has been instrumental in establishing research fields in Australia related to Supergravity and Superconformal Field Theory. He was awarded the prestigious Australian Professorial Fellowship by the Australian Research Council from 2010 to 2014. Kuzenko served as the Deputy Chair of the Australia New Zealand Association of Mathematical Physics from 2011 to 2015 and founded initiatives to promote mathematical physics in the region. His notable publications include the monograph 'Ideas and Methods of Supersymmetry and Supergravity.' Before joining UWA, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Munich and has been recognized with multiple fellowships, including from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany. His research interests revolve around central problems in high-energy physics, particularly the unification of gravity with fundamental interactions, and he engages in various collaborative projects aimed at advancing theories in string theory and supersymmetry.
