Biography

Sergi Pardos-Prado is a Professor of Comparative Politics at the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Glasgow. He serves as the Impact Champion for Politics and International Relations and is a member of the College Assessment Panel within the College of Social Sciences. Prior to joining the University of Glasgow, he held the position of Associate Professor of Politics at Merton College, University of Oxford, and was a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford. He obtained his PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence. Pardos-Prado's research interests are at the intersection of comparative politics, political behavior, comparative political economy, and migration studies. He focuses on understanding how macro-level configurations of party systems, ideological dimensions, and labor market structures influence individual preferences and rational behavior. His ongoing work examines how labor-market demand impacts anti-immigrant attitudes and how tax progressivity affects income preferences.
