Biography

Sergio Leon-Saval is a Professor and Director of the Sydney Astrophotonics Instrumentation Laboratory (SAIL) at the University of Sydney, where he has contributed significantly to the fields of photonics and optical instrumentation. With a PhD from the University of Bath, UK in 2006, he joined the University of Sydney in 2007. Leon-Saval has a strong research interest in areas such as optical fibers, machine learning, and photonic applications in space exploration and agriculture.
