After obtaining his doctorate in economic and social sciences in 1996, Sergio Rossi continued his training in monetary macroeconomics, earning the Ph.D. in Economics at University College London in 2000. His research focuses on macroeconomic analysis, with particular attention to monetary and financial issues. He has authored or directed around twenty books, including an encyclopedia of monetary policy, and published approximately sixty articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is part of the scientific committee for several journals including Cogent Economics Finance, Economics Finance Research, International Journal Monetary Economics Finance, Journal Economics International Finance, Review Keynesian Economics, and Review Political Economy. In 2012, L’Hebdo included him among the 100 personalities making an impact in French-speaking Switzerland. He has also been listed among the influential economists in Switzerland by Neue Zürcher Zeitung in 2015, 2017, and 2019.
