Biography

Seth R. Garbarsky is a Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Western New England University, earned in 2001, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University, obtained in 1998. Since 2002, Garbarsky has worked as a prosecutor in the Judicial District of New Haven, Connecticut, where he represents the State in criminal felony prosecutions. Throughout his career, he has tried 40 felony criminal jury cases, including 10 murder trials, demonstrating a strong commitment to the field of criminal justice. Additionally, he supervises the New Haven Cold Case Unit, where he is responsible for bringing justice to unsolved murder cases. In recognition of his dedication and performance, he was awarded the distinguished Oliver Ellsworth Prosecutor of the Year award in 2018.
