Seth Javier Perlman, MD, serves as the Medical Director of the Neuromuscular Program at Seattle Children's Hospital and is an Associate Professor of Neurology. He specializes in child neurology and has board certification in this field, ensuring high standards in pediatric neurological care. Dr. Perlman completed his residency at St. Louis Children's Hospital and furthered his education with a fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. His research focuses on various facets of neuromuscular conditions, particularly Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Dr. Perlman has led significant observational studies and clinical trials to innovate treatments and improve patient outcomes for those with neuromuscular disorders. He is actively involved in researching genetic and phenotypic factors that influence these conditions. Additionally, his work includes registry studies aimed at better understanding the long-term safety and efficacy of emerging therapeutics.
