Seth Robertson is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Harvard University. He received his PhD from the University of Oklahoma in 2019. His research interests encompass moral psychology, history of ethics, early Chinese philosophy, social epistemology, virtue ethics, and metaethics. Seth’s dissertation explored how non-normative information can constrain normative theorizing. His ongoing research examines intersectional social intelligence, virtue ethics, situationist psychology, and moral development within various contexts, particularly through the lens of early Confucian ethics. Seth is also the founder of Deviant Philosopher, a web resource aimed at assisting philosophy instructors in incorporating diverse philosophical perspectives into their teaching. He is an inaugural member of the Institute for the Study of Human Flourishing and has served on the APA Graduate Student Council, further demonstrating his commitment to the field of philosophy and academic community.
