Biography

Seth R. Sanders received S.B. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics, and S.M., Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1981, 1985, and 1989, respectively. He worked as a Design Engineer at Honeywell Test Instruments Division in Denver, Colorado, before joining the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Sanders has made significant contributions to power electronics and is recognized for his research in power and electronic systems. He received the NSF Young Investigator Award in 1993 and has received several paper awards from the IEEE Power Electronics Society and the IEEE Industry Applications Society. He served as Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on Computers in Power Electronics and is a Member-at-Large of the IEEE Power Electronics Society Administrative Committee. His publications cover various aspects of circuits and systems related to power conversion, and he actively engages in research projects at the Berkeley Power and Energy Center.
