Dr. Seung Jang

Biography

Seung Jang is a Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he has been a faculty member since July 2007. With a rich background in materials science, Jang's research interests focus on computations and theories to characterize and design nanoscale systems based on molecular architecture-property relationships. His work is particularly relevant to the fields of molecular electronics, molecular machines, fuel cell technology, and biotechnology. Before his academic career, Jang worked at Samsung Electronics Materials Process Simulation Center and California Institute of Technology, gaining valuable experience in nanoelectronics and interfacial systems. He has authored numerous publications that contribute to the advancement of materials science, particularly in the areas of biomolecular solids, ceramics, and metals. Jang has been recognized as a member and fellow of several prestigious organizations, including the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, American Chemical Society, American Physical Society, and the Electrochemical Society.
