Dr. Shachar Lev Ari

Biography

Shachar Lev Ari is a visiting instructor at Stanford University, specializing in the fields of cellular biology, integrative medicine, and health promotion science. He is the chair of the Department of Health Promotion at Tel-Aviv University and the director of the Integrative Medicine Center & Research Laboratory at Tel-Aviv Medical Center. Additionally, he heads the Health Promotion Unit at the Integrated Cancer Prevention Center. Shachar has earned recognition for his contributions to complementary integrative medicine, receiving the Outstanding Israeli Researcher award in this area. His current research efforts aim to unravel the biology, physiology, and psychology behind health promotion strategies. Shachar's work focuses on translating findings from research into effective interventions that target the salutogenic mechanisms supporting well-being. He initiated the "lasting change" study and co-leads a project at Stanford University, working under the guidance of Professor Michael Snyder in a lab recognized globally for its advancements in precision health.
