Dr. Shahid Hussain

Biography

Shahid Hussain is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Penn State Behrend, where he focuses on Software Engineering. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the City University of Hong Kong, and a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the City University of Science and Information Technology in Peshawar, Pakistan, along with an MSc in Computer Science from Gomal University, DIK, Pakistan. Before his tenure at Penn State, Dr. Hussain worked as a Pro Temp (NTTF) in the Computer Information Science Department at the University of Oregon, and previously held a position as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University, Islamabad. His extensive experience includes roles at Namal College and the University of Peshawar, and he has contributed to numerous research collaborations and editorial staff positions across various reputed journals. His research interests encompass Software Engineering practices, High Performance Computing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data analysis. Dr. Hussain is particularly passionate about interdisciplinary research that impacts healthcare systems and enhances software development processes.
