Biography

Shahram Sean Yousefi focuses on solving problems at the intersection of technology, academia, and healthcare. With 25 years of experience in engineering, technology, and teaching, he has managed teams and projects across three continents and visited 85 countries. He received his B.Sc. in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran and his Ph.D. in telecommunications from the University of Waterloo in Canada. Elected as Editor-in-Chief for IEEE CJECE journal from 2016 to 2020, he has also received numerous awards, including the Golden Apple teaching award and NSERC Discovery Accelerator Supplement. His research interests encompass communications, cloud systems, big data, networks, information theory, signal processing, control, algorithms, and machine intelligence, and he has co-founded several companies, leveraging algorithms for innovative solutions. He holds multiple patents in the data storage sector.
