Shahzad Mian serves as the Chair Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Michigan Medical School. He has held the position of vice chair for clinical sciences and learning since 2019 and is the ambulatory care clinical chief of the University of Michigan Medical Group. Dr. Mian has received several awards including the Bergstrom Teaching Award and the Anthony Adamis Award for Outstanding Research. He is actively involved in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and currently serves as the cornea editor for Ophthalmic News Education Network.
