Shalin Kothari, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Hematology) at Yale University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University and subsequently underwent a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University at Buffalo/Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Kothari specializes in the treatment of lymphomas and his research is focused on using clinical skills combined with basic science knowledge to address significant scientific questions regarding the mechanistic understanding of lymphoma therapeutics, and translating these from early-phase clinical trials into effective treatments for aggressive forms of B-cell lymphomas, particularly mantle cell lymphoma. In his research role at the Müschen Laboratory at Yale University, he is actively involved in developing new therapies for mantle cell lymphoma. Notably, he has been recognized as a Lymphoma Research Foundation Scholar and is an inductee of the ASH Advocacy Leadership Institute and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Kothari has presented his research at multiple national and international meetings and has received several abstract achievement travel awards.
