Biography

Shalini Lal is an Assistant Professor at the School of Rehabilitation, Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal, and a regular researcher at CRCHUM. She has also served as an associate researcher at the Douglas Institute of Mental Health and director of the Youth Mental Health and Technology Lab. With a decade of experience in clinical service delivery, she has held positions such as case manager and occupational therapist within the mental health care system, specializing in youth and family services. Shalini’s work employs a variety of qualitative and participatory methods and is distinguished by her receipt of the NARSAD Young Investigator Grant in 2014. Her interests include the impact of service delivery on youth resilience and recovery, and she collaborates with international teams to enhance mental health services through innovative research practices.
