Dr. Shamim Aryampa

Biography

Shamim Aryampa is a Research Associate at the University of New South Wales within the Water Research Centre. With broad-ranging expertise in land use management, environmental monitoring, and waste management, Shamim's work focuses on sustainability assessments. His PhD research centers around Ecological Sustainability Assessment, contributing to the development of methodologies for comprehensive and effective sustainability assessments. He has a Master of Science in Soil Science and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Land Use Management. Shamim is particularly interested in the automation of sustainability assessments to enhance their effectiveness. He has developed the EcoSwaD model, which assesses Ecological Sustainability at Waste Disposal Sites, showcasing his dedication to advancing methodologies in this field. His current research interests include exploring the linkages between agriculture and sustainability, especially concerning the impacts of natural resource and land usage on sustainable practices. Through his work, Shamim aims to promote ecological sustainability and improve land management techniques.
