Associate Professor Shane Thomas is a biochemist and vascular biologist renowned for his basic science and preclinical research on oxidative stress and inflammation in cardiovascular disease and inflammatory disorders. He completed his PhD at the University of Sydney in 1999, focusing on the role of oxidative stress in atherosclerosis. Thomas has held prestigious fellowships and grants, including the NHMRC CJ Martin fellowship and the NHMRC RD Wright Career Development Award.
