Professor Shapour Jaberzadeh is a Physiotherapist and Neuroscientist at Monash University, where he serves as the Director of the Non-invasive Brain Stimulation & Neuroplasticity Laboratory. He obtained his Physiotherapy degree from Shiraz University in Iran and subsequently earned a Master's degree in Physiotherapy (Research) from the Iran University of Medical Sciences. In 1997, he completed a clinical MSc in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia, where he later achieved his PhD in Motor Control and Human Movements. Since joining Monash University in 2005, he has developed a substantial research program focusing on the development of new brain stimulation-based treatments for neurological and neuromusculoskeletal disorders, utilizing advanced techniques such as Transcranial Electrical Stimulation and functional MRI. He has made significant contributions to understanding brain function and dysfunction through various therapeutic interventions and has been involved in numerous clinical trials. Professor Jaberzadeh is also committed to teaching, delivering specialized lectures and supervising HDR students in the Department of Physiotherapy.
