I graduated from the University of Science Malaysia with a B.Eng. in Materials Science & Engineering in 2011. In 2013, I received the prestigious Warwick Chancellor's International Scholarship for my Ph.D. research in Chemistry at the University of Warwick, UK, where I explored carbon nanomaterials, electroanalysis, and electrocatalysis. In 2017, I began my postdoctoral research as an associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge, UK, working on novel porous materials for electrochemical gas sensing. In 2019, I joined the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick as a Research Fellow, focusing on the development of lithium-ion technologies, including lithium-ion batteries and capacitors. In 2020, I took a position as a Lecturer at Teesside University, where I was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2022. There, my primary research involved electrochemical sensors, including biosensors and environmental sensors. I joined the School of Engineering at The University of Edinburgh as a Lecturer in 2022 and am affiliated with the Chemical Engineering discipline, being a member of the Institute of Bioengineering. My research areas include nanoscale/microscale electrochemistry, electroanalysis, electrocatalysis, and the development of electrochemical sensors and energy storage solutions. I have published in respected journals and received several awards for my work in materials and electrochemical research.
