Dr. Shari Stathis

Biography

Shari is a Research Fellow at Macquarie University's Centre for Health Economy (MUCHE), specializing in health technology assessment (HTA). Before joining MUCHE, she worked with consulting firms in the pharmaceutical industry where she developed and executed HTA strategies for healthcare technologies, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics. Shari is skilled in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses, evaluating clinical evidence, and financial modeling for HTA projects. She engages with numerous stakeholders including payers, clinicians, and patient groups to understand their perspectives and needs, incorporating them into HTA strategies. At MUCHE, she coordinates HTA submissions for the Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) and the Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC), ensuring they are high quality and submitted in a timely manner.
