Biography

Shariq Mohammed is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics at Boston University School of Public Health. He holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Connecticut and has also completed his Master's and Bachelor's from the same institution. His research interests broadly encompass Bayesian modeling, variable selection, and spatial statistics, focusing on the analysis of complex-structured biomedical data. Dr. Mohammed is also recognized as a Rafik B. Hariri Junior Faculty Fellow at Boston University and has previously been awarded the Precision Health Scholars Award at the University of Michigan. He has contributed to several significant research projects, including removing batch effects in high-throughput biomedical studies, bridging multiple sponsors and funding sources. His collaborative work has resulted in several impactful publications and active participation in departmental research initiatives.
