Biography

Sharon Coffee Baxter is an adjunct professor teaching Intensive Litigation Advocacy Skills and Advocacy Practice & Theory at the University of Texas Law School. With 30 years of litigation experience, she has spent 13 years focused exclusively on Texas property tax system-related legislation. Before her role at Texas Law, she taught trial advocacy at Howard University School of Law, Temple University Beasley School of Law, and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she serves as managing attorney for MVBA’s Appraisal Litigation Team, where she oversees day-to-day activities and handles appraisal district litigation and appraisal review board litigation since joining in 2018.
