Dr. Sharon Parker

Biography

Sharon Parker is a Project Officer at the International Centre Future Health Systems (formerly Centre for Primary Health Care Equity) at the University of New South Wales, Australia. She possesses over 20 years of nursing experience and has spent a significant portion of her career in research at UNSW, focusing on the management of complex multi-site research projects. Her contributions span several significant trials, including the Preventive Evidence Practice (PEP) trial and the Health eLiteracy Prevention General Practice (HeLP-GP) trial. Additionally, she has been instrumental in the Community Health Extending Care Community (CHECC) trial. Sharon's research interests are centered on disease prevention, chronic disease management, primary health care, and the integration of mental health services, with a particular focus on homelessness. She has conducted numerous Cochrane systematic reviews in areas such as breast cancer and psycho-oncology, contributing valuable insights to the field of primary care.
