Biography

Shatakshee Dhongde is a Professor in the School of Economics at Georgia Tech, with a focus on economic research examining poverty, inequality, and deprivation. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside, and her research aims to provide consistent estimates of multidimensional poverty within the United States. She is currently the President-elect of the International Association for Research in Income and Wealth and a Fellow of the Society for Economic Measurement. In 2021, she took on the role of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at Georgia Tech.
